Mike Browne is a friend and student
of Carl Thompson, the
legendary NY luthier. Mike recently started his
own line of basses and contacted me to develop a
site. He wanted it to be reminiscent of a boiler
room complete with flames and gauges. We created
rust and pipes from scratch and combined Flash elements
within the layout to give the site motion.
The rusty metal look of the Browne Basses
site was created by beginning with a base of 12 different
rust texture photos. These photos were blended and then painted
in Photoshop to give the metal more depth and realism.
